Popular Care is a small group of Care Homes in the NE and Scotland dedicated to delivering the best possible care for our residents. Our staff are dedicated and many of them have been with us for a long time. We pride ourselves on our care and support not only for the residents but also for our extended family of relatives and friends of the home.
As winter now approaches, we are mindful that the Covid-19 virus is still with us and in certain areas the number of cases is increasing. Popular Care is abiding by the most recent government guidance issued on the 24th of August 2022 which states:
Face masks should be worn by all care workers (not in Scotland) and encouraged for visitors in care settings irrespective of whether the person being cared for is known or suspected to have COVID-19 or not. This is sometimes referred to as ‘universal masking’ or ‘source control’ and is a means of preventing any spread of infection from the mask wearer.
I encourage all visitors to the homes to wear as mask unless exempt, this will reduce the risk of transmission of the Covid-19 virus and the influenza virus for our residents, staff and visitors.
Additionally, I ask that those visiting our homes maintain good hand hygiene, this will support in the reduction of Covid-19, Influenza, and seasonal winter vomiting infections. I would like to thank you for your continued support in maintaining safety in our homes and would like to remind you, that if you are feeling unwell with cold / flu or stomach bug symptoms not to visit your loved ones in the homes.

About Us
For 14 years, Popular Care has been providing exceptional care to loved family members. We have had the pleasure to get to know over 2000 residents, and have built lasting relationships with families which have stood the test of time.
We judge our care and standards on whether we ourselves would entrust the team with the care of a family member of our own, and hold this at the heart of everything we do. We see the residents, no matter how short or long their time with us may be, as an extension of our own families, and care accordingly.
Our teams are highly trained and qualified, and we work closely with CQC, Care Inspectorate and local councils to ensure well rounded and all encompassing care is provided.
Services
We pride ourselves on your tailored approach to care. We always take the time with the family and care professionals to come up with a personalised care plan for your family member’s time with us. However, broadly speaking our care falls into four areas: residential services, palliative services, respite care and nursing care.
Residential Services
Palliative Care
